Hallo Leute,
just wanted to thank everybody for a great year. It is weird not being in Canada anymore but time changes things and that is just something we have to accept. I'm lucky that I was able to spend time there and also that I got into a great new class.
At the end of each year I like to take some time to myself. I basically just sit there and think about the year. What was good? What was memorable? What was sad? What did I not like? And what do I want to change next year? Is it realistic? I totally recommend doing that, even if oyu don't find some great things to do in 2015, it always helps me to finish 2014 in my head.
Hope you all have a great New Year's Eve and a Happy New Year 2015!

Tschüss :)

How to relax

Hallo Leute,
today I have some tips for you on how to relax. This might seem pretty stupid but in my opinion a lot of people today forget to relax and take time for themselves.

1. Take a bath
Well first of all you have to take time for yourself whenever you take a bath. Make sure to take a nice soap, bath bombs or something similar with you. If you don't like just sitting there take a book with you aswell. Sadly personally I only read whenever I take a bath nowadays.

2. Doodle
I do this especially when I am stressed out. I have a sketchbook where I also draw serious sketches but these "doodles" definitely take more pages. Whenever I am stressed out about something, like an exam, I just take half an hour and work on one of the pictures. After that I feel refreshed and ready to learn again.
As you see it doesn't look perfect. You can see that I used the pen more at some
places and that you can see where I used the colouring pencils.
But this is how it is supposed to look like - not perfect.

Sometimes I use just pencils and sometimes I also use felt-tip pens
4. Do something where you can see results immediately
Whenever I have to study for an exam I noticed that at one point I don't wat to study any longer. I think this is because I am not able to see any results until I get the exam back (and this might be weeks later). Furthermore when I didn't get the grade I hope I would get this can also make me frustrated. So every once in a while I think it is nice to do an DIY. I am not great at doing crafts but I am creative. So you start with having an idea and then you plan the project and you have the final product at the end of your day. You can even paint something.

5. Take time
I have mentioned this a couple of times now but it is so extremly important if you want to relax. You can't just snip your hands and feel totally relaxed. Go for a walk, read something, do something you wanted to do for a long time. I also have a book called 99 Things to Do When You Have the Time. I don't use it enouh but it is a great book  that wants to teach the person who bought to relax.

6. Avoid the things that make you feel stressed out
If it is possible, do so. Just doing this you will feel a change after a few weeks, and if you can't avoid it, make sure that it doesn't fill your mind all of the time.

I hope this helped you guys a bit. I am sorry that there wasn't a post last weekend.

PS: Janine and I are looking for a third blogger for our blog Mixed Life. So if you are interested just post a comment here or write a mail to You have to speak German though :)
